6 SHORT FILMS: SISTER WORKS TO AMPLIFIED EDITION N ° 2

Through July to September 2021, Hanna Gillgren collaborated with screen dance practitioner Jo Cork, to explore and research the potential of digital practices within the company's work.

Hanna brought the camera in from the start of the rehearsal process of the live-work AMPLIFIED EDITION N ° 2, and through the eye of the camera worked in an improvisational way to create footage. This was followed by reflection, training and investigation in the editing and post-production process with Jo. The aim was to find ways of documenting process rather than product, and finding out how the digital can become part of and impact future projects.

The investigation culminated in an experimental dance film which will sit as a sister work to the live piece.
